The Palcoyo Mountain Tour in the Cusco region of Peru is a unique experience that will allow you to explore one of its most impressive natural formations. Palcoyo Mountain is known for its diverse colors, ranging from intense red to green and yellow, making it a true natural spectacle. Palcoyo has up to 3 colored mountains, unlike Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain). In Palcoyo, there is no need for trekking or hiking, as transportation reaches the mountain directly.

1st - 4:30 am Pickup from your accomodation
We will pick you up from the establishment where you are staying as long as it is located in the historic center.
2nd - 6:00 am Arrival in the town of Cusipata
Arrival in the town of Cusipata, where a typical Andean breakfast will be served.
3rd - 7:30 a.m. 1-hour journey to the Palcoyo community
Continuing the journey to the starting point of the hike, the picturesque community of Palcoyo.
4th - 8:30 am Hike to the top of the mountain
Upon reaching Palcoyo Mountain, you will begin a moderate hike to the summit. The hike takes around 30 to 60 minutes, during which you can observe picturesque mountains, explore a famous stone forest, and have a panoramic view of Mount Ausangate, etc.
5th - 9:30 am Enjoy the view!
Once you reach the summit of the mountain, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the different colors of Palcoyo Mountain. You can take photos and soak in the view for some time before returning to the starting point.
6th - 12:00 pm Return to the town of Cusipata
After visiting the colored mountain, we’ll visit the picturesque town of Cusipata, where you can learn about local culture and traditions.
7th - 1:00 pm Buffet lunch (typical Peruvian food)
In Cusipata, you can enjoy a buffet lunch featuring typical Peruvian cuisine.
8th - 2:00 pm Return Journey to Cusco
We will return to Cusco in an approximate 2-hour journey, concluding at your hotel.
9th - 5:00 pm Return to Your Accommodations in Cusco
